night wraps his darkness around me
like the strong arms of a familiar love
a soothing embrace of quiet and calm
the world around me has slowed down
the cacophony of noises laid to rest
the tensions escaping my tired body
as iallow him to pull me into serenity
thoughts begin to flow in the stillness
as my mind commences to awaken
what a beautiful, glorious time of day
i don't want the hours with night to end
but his gentle constant humming lull
and his embracing arms of tranquility
