The longer I’m at work the more I have to deal with, the documenting just accumulates there never is time to catch up. I guess that’s the nature of caring for people... healthcare. Doubles are killer. We have so many out sick with COVID. I’m doing 3 doubles this week.

HAMSTER’S WHEEL

I open my eyes to the morning’s light

Here I go riding the hamster’s wheel

My days all look very much the same

No matter how hard and fast I petal

I seem not to go anywhere fast at all

The worst thought I’m starting to fear

This weary ride’s end is nowhere near
