Drifting in the Hawaiian Breeze

Updated: Oct 18, 2021

(A free verse poem for Ada and Adelle using songs we listened to while driving in Hawaii đŸŒș)

tunes diffuse into the summer breeze

touch us like Hawaiian humidity

electric love, my long haired angels

say hey, I sing, I love you my peeps

the windows are rolled all the way down

warm summer wind tousles your long hair

picks up some of those candy wrappers

float somewhere over the rainbow now

listen to the sound of that sunshine

this is Hawaii babe, not Brazil

because we are the sunset lovers

just so much more than just a woman

driving to Hawaii in our car

jivin‘ to Milky Chance’s Stolen Dance

relax, stop stressing about nothing

this is more than just staying alive

i adore my strawberry lipped angels

you don’t have to say anything now

know I would walk through fire for you

and love you both till the end of time
