I’m not sure what happened to the world or maybe it’s always been the way it is only I’ve just begun to notice. I sense people are burnt out and angry these post COVID, post civil unrest٫ post Trump trauma days. Everywhere you hear٫ "Sorry for the wait. Thank you for your patience. We are short staffed"!And that was on the nicer end of the spectrum. The people who are actually working appear frustrated and overworked. There seems to be a National employee shortage. Where did they all go? Is everyone working from home? How many jobs can there be working from home? Or is everyone in the delivery serves industry? I can't deny. I've taken advantage of having my groceries delivered too many times. I dislike grocery shopping to be honest. I end up buying too many things I shouldn't and don't need. My kids have tested the boundaries of the new delivery phenomenon. From ordering a single item٫ such as a milkshake to ordering a meal through two separate delivery services just to see which would deliver the quickest. No٫ I did not sanction their escapades. I wasn't privy to the test run data until after the fact. And customer service (What's that) has become obsolete with staffing shortage. I'm getting use to scanning my own stuff but i'm not saying I like it one bit.
